Private Housing Amadora XXI

This proposal aimed to intensify existing urban centrality of the intervention area, sealing the urban design between street Elias Garcia e avenue Comandante Luis António da Silva, and secondly, by settling a relationship with the square of Quinta Nova through a dynamic of paths that are established by accesses under the buildings. The idea of recreating public space in a perspective of joining the consolidated area and the new urban area is complemented with areas for Commerce and Services.

The project follows a structural and façade elements modeling, for a rational and functional optimization, which also extends to the materialization of the roof area, which has the same material.

As for the program, at the ground floor level, 6 commercial spaces are proposed. They are all related to the public roads and/or the interior paths created in the plot. In a slightly higher platform, are located the villas whose new function are Services. These areas organized in modules, are in close relationship with the street that unify the units, and they have small individual patios that will have special landscaping treatment. From the floor levels 1 to 4, are proposed the apartments: in floor levels 1 and 2 served by two sets of vertical circulations, we have 9 apartments per floor. In the 3rd and 4th floor levels are developed 10 duplex apartments typology. It matters to enhance that the formal option of the Building on the rooftop level is meant to emphasize its location in the street corner, while in the same time intensify light to the interior spaces with various angles, and an interesting better use of the mezzanine levels. In the suites of this rooftop dwellings, are also proposed accesses to small terraces that tear the roof plan, creating and highlighting shadow areas
